I’m passionate about education opportunities for our kids – all of our LSR7 kids! I’ve been a part of the Lee’s Summit community for over 20 years with both of my sons attending and graduating from our LS schools. I’ve loved working with our students, other parents, our teachers and administrators and our community in many different volunteer roles over the years always with the goal of what best serves our kids and their education.

In my professional career I’m in Information Technology Program Management helping implement large scale technology programs and projects. I can plan broadly at the strategic level as well as roll up my sleeves and get into the details with teams to resolve barriers and get things moving to success. I manage large program budgets including vendor partnerships and contracts. I also focus on the impact of changes projects bring to people and how we help everyone impacted move through the changes necessary for success.

We are in a time of great change and growth in our district. We know a strong, vibrant school district is the backbone of a strong, growing community. We also know that change is hard to go through but with the shared goal of improving the educational opportunities available to our LSR7 kids – I know we can discuss, support and work through any barriers to achieve that. I am proud to represent you and our over 18,000 students on the LSR7 School Board!

  • I care passionately about all of our kids and their education!
  • I think strategically - about the future and growth of our district in educational opportunities and academic excellence, capacity and facilities and financial budgeting - I can also then shift back to track for tactical execution and accountability on delivery/metrics to continuously track and evaluate success
  • I listen and I do my homework! I respect and value different viewpoints, strengths and expertise in others as I gather information, evaluate options and make decisions - I do that always with an eye to our shared mission - Preparing each student for success in life!
  • I'm a collaborator - I know when we have common goals - that we can through any barriers to achieve those common goals
